Mental Health First Aid Training - What to expect

Importance of MHFAiders

Qualified Mental Health First Aiders are people who have been trained in how to recognise when someone is having a mental health crisis, how to approach them safely, and how to help get them the care they need.

They're an important part of any community because they make sure that everyone gets the treatment they need without being stigmatised or ignored.

As a Qualified Mental Health First Aider, you'll be able to help those around you who are struggling with mental illness feel safe and understood. You'll also be able to recognise when someone needs help but doesn't know how to ask for it themselves; by approaching them gently but confidently and connecting them with professionals who can provide assistance immediately, you'll be saving lives every day!
